ES&A completed a Natural Resource Site Assessment within existing City park properties in the north end of Cannon Beach, Oregon. The assessment area included Les Shirley Park, NeCus’ Park, Ecola Creek Park, and Whale Park Kid’s Beach, located along the lower reach of Ecola Creek. The site assessment includes a preliminary inventory of natural resources within and adjacent to the existing park properties, and the existing conditions information was incorporated into the parks and trails master plan prepared for the City of Cannon Beach. The assessment also determined potential areas where proposed park improvements may result in unavoidable natural resource impacts. It provided a jurisdictional review summary of permitting requirements by state and federal agencies.
